Thinking about the QD as a backup...

I have a 6620 for now, and really want a new phone, but don't wanna give up my 6620, so I'm looking at the Ngage as a new backup phone. I think it would be a good one, and have some offerings that my 6620 doesn't have. I do have some questions, though. I've researched what I could, and couldn't find these answers:

1. What is the processing power compared to the 6620? Is it noticable?

2. Will UltraMP3 work to use the Ngage as an MP3 player?

3. EDGE or GPRS?

4. Those that have had both, anything I should know?

(1) i think its slower...but its not that noticeable~

(2) yes

(3) GPRS
(4) I prefer the 6620 way more

Lol. But as a backup, the Ngage should be similar, right? I've got a 6010 as a backup right now, and I'd rather have another Series60 as a backup, plus the gaming abilities of the Ngage attract me, but like I said, not enough to give up my 6620 for it.

yes, but work WELL is a different story. its mono.

i don't see why mono would make it sound bad? is the 16000khz output that the ngage has compared to the 44000khz the 6620 has that makes it sound bad

i think the ngage would be a good back up as long as u play games, cause other than that it would be too similar to ure phone minus a few key features ie. camera, themes and cd quality sound

that's what I'm thinking, but I really hate going to S40 for my backup. I'd rather have the same setup just a different phone. And yes, I'm not looking to replace my 6620 at all, and I'll probably get the 6682 when it comes out, I just wanna nother s60 for backup.

ngage QD sounds good...or 6600/3660 (20 in your casse if 850 is a must)

To answer your question directly, I think it would be a suitable backup. You can whip it out to play a quick game or whatever app you usually play on S60. Don't forget about online multiplayer, I'm sure it would cure any boredom you might encounter.

Speaking of, I'm used to movies on my 6620. THe screen of the Ngage is only 4k colors, won't this affect my movies greatly?

The N-Gage's screen isn't as milky or as washed out like some older Nokia color phones (7210) had when they first came out.
