What is considered the best quality picture setting on the phone?

is it just my phone or does the camra kinda suck on this phone? Theres got to be perfect light just to be able to see anything in the pictures i take and i have tried all the different settings. Most pictures come out as black with a little brown light in the background. My girlfriends phone in the same lighting takes pictures clear as hell!! Whats up with that?

I have managed to take some pretty decent pictures with my 8910. When you first turn my phone on, the picture on the lcd is dark, but usually if I let the camera "adjust" for a few seconds, they get lighter. My buddy's LG vx6100 has a much better camera. Pictures turn out great. Oh well, c'est la vie!
