8900 bitpim problem

it recognizes the phone but when i go to get phone data it will not let me select anything. if i go to the filesystem and try to expand the tree it just sits there and does nothing almost like it is frozen. the only way to get bitpim to respond is ctr alt del and close it. what is the problem? i have tried 2 dif drivers and many versions of bitpim. please help. thanks.

Make sure you have the correct data port settings on your phone.

Enter in ##7678 [END]

diag should be set to USB DIAG

data should be set to USB DATA

If you reboot your phone, diag gets reset to its original setting (UART MAIN)

If this still doesn't work make sure you have chosen the correct COM port on your computer.
