TM-150 Questions

I should be receiving a TM-150 tomorrow, and had a few questions.

I've seen some stuff about this phone being able to access the internet as a modem. Is this capability free and airtime free? I've seen mention that t-zones is required, which I have already decided to get the t-zones unlimited (regular, not pro), even just to surf on the phone. I'm already planning to get a data/charging cable, simply because I have the adapters in my car to charge that way, and it would be the simplest solution since I am always near a computer with a USB port, or just a powered USB hub.

Also, have I read right that you can only get games through the wap, or can stuff be put on the storage card?

I've already found all the software, and drivers for when I do this.

Is there an actual guide for this phone online anywhere? I've gone though all 4 pages of posts, and read practically any that I thought might have something I would want to know in it. I used to have a VX6000, and I found several guides online that were very helpful. Any like that for the 150?
Thanks!

If you have tzones unlimited, then just download the official Sharp drivers and software from their web site, install it, and run the GPRS communication manager. Just follow the instructions and it'll set up a dial-up networking connection for you. You don't pay for airtime, or megabytes or any junk like that. This isn't money-grubbing Verizon, it's unlimited data - Get More!

Correct. But to be honest, I haven't found the gaming to be compelling on this phone. It's best as a photo phone.

I haven't seen any online homebrew guides yet, just the official manual at www.sharp-mobile.com/tm but you'll get that with the phone anyway. If you find one post it here.

Good luck!

Alrighty, thanks! I am tempted to put together one myself as soon as i learn enough about the phone to do it.

Don't forget that you need the $20 Tzones plan and not just the $5 one, the $5 one won't let you access the entire web.

where is this $20 plan? i dont see it listed on their website

Will the $5 tzones plan let you go at least to the games sites like midlet.org that I've heard has some TM150 compatible games???

okay, this might make the question easier. is there anyone using the phone as a modem via gprs right now, and has it working with the 4.99 unlimited t-zones plan?

You may have to call them to have it added, if you get the unlimited internet plan without a voice plan, then its $30, to add it to the voice plan, then I'm guessing it goes down to $20. If this is not the case, then they've increased their pricing for unlimited internet

No, it's still 19.99 to add it to any voice plan 29.99 or higher, or 29.99 to get it by itself, with no voice plan.
