Okay, I got my new 5600 saturday, followed the pdf I found floating around on how to 're-brand' it to cingular, and changed all the settings. at first, I couldn't send mms using those settings. I found another tutorial, which showed slightly different proxy and gprs settings. now MMS and Web browsing work, but I get an error thatI can't connect when trying to use the MSN. the error suggests I check my dial up or proxy settings.

Anyone here know what I might be doing wrong?

Wirelessly posted (Audiovox SMT 5600: AUDIOVOX-SMT5600/Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 176x220))

These do appear to be significantly different than either set i've used. Thanks, i'll give it a try.

Hmm... with these settings, I can't get on the web at all from the phone.

Also, I've found MSN messenger isn't the only program that doesn't work... I also can't seem to get my mail account working, it gives the same error, like it can't connect to the internet at all.

GPRS Connections: PDA Connect,

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: wap.cingular

User name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM

Password: CINGULAR1

Primary DNS, Secondary DNS and IP addresses: Blank for IP and 0.0.0.0 for the DNS

Proxy Connections: PDA Connect,

These are the settings on my MPx 220 and should be the same for you if you are using Cingular of course.

Okay, with those settings, everything works EXCEPT I can't send MMS. I'm getting a can't connect error. Grr...

Nevermind, looks like it's working, now, I had to change the mmsc settings to connect via the internet instead of via wap.

Thanks!
