Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7520. | DONE.: BlackBerry7520/4.0.0 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)

Receiving email on the bb requires the device to be set up in Blackberry Web Client, which requires a computer. Any computer with internet access will allow you to do this.

It's possible that technical support could set this up on your behalf, depending on your carrier. However, due to the variety of options, etc., and security concerns, you should do this yourself.

Perhaps visit an internet cafe? Borrow a friend's computer? It only takes 5-10 minutes.

Not true, with Tmo for example its possible to set your webclient up through the BB itself, due to the fact that the webclient interface is actually served by RIM I suspect that this is possible for all carriers…

Really? You can set up the e-mail address for the web client on your BB, but you can not set up the POP3 accounts to be forwarded, can you?

Yes you can set the account up, and you can have it retrieve POP3 messages… though this has anywhere from a 30 second to a 10 min lag on message delivery. You are going to have to use a computer if you want to get into your email provider whoever that my be to start real forwarding….

Though for a few providers such as yahoo mail, true forwarding is not convenient because its not possible to forward a message and keep a copy of the original message in your yahoo box therefore pop retrieval is your only option.. I have gmail, it forwards all my email directly to my BB and keeps a copy in my inbox, so pop retrieval is worthless for me because of the lag involved with the webclient actually retrieving messages from your other account.
