SMT5600 / ATT / TMobile?

I purchased a SMT5600 off of Amazon.com recently for $149 with a $150 rebate. I unlocked the phone and I'm trying to decide between ATT / Cingular and TMobile. I have a few questions:

1. TMobile's data plan seems better than ATT. I use the activesync over the air feature of the smarthphone and that basically makes a ton of HTTP requests for a sync. My fear is that any of the ATT / Cingular data plans will not include this and I'll get smacked with a ton of charges. Any insight out there on this?

2. If I cancel my ATT service since I'm still within the 30 days, will Amazon / ATT charge me for the list price for the phone? I know I'll forfeit the rebate but that's not a big deal to me.

3. Does ATT / Cingular have any unlimited text message plans? ActiveSync has an "always up to date" feature where a Microsoft Exchange server sends an SMS message to the phone to let it know I got a new email so it would trigger a synch.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. In the Cleveland / Akron area and can't decide if ATT or TMobile is the answer to my needs.

Thanks,
DJ

1. use Cingular unlimited data plan, att unlimited plan doesn't not includes internet on pc with the phone, more charges!!!!

2.Yes, because if you cancel in the 30 day period you have to return the phone, if you are out the 30 days you pay $175 att or $150 cingular for the cancel of contract.

3.i don't know this one

wait for others comments, maybe i'm wrong because my location!!!

Also want to add - the service I currently have is the ATT service with the mMode. Apparently ATT has unlimited *incoming* text messaging which helps with my "always up to date" feature I use with Microsoft Exchange...

at&t did offer an unlimited txt message plan for $4.99/month. cingular sends me txt messages offering me unlimited txt messages for the same price so i guess they are offering it now.
