Taking it apart...

Anyone done it yet? I hate the color or my 650 so I'm going to paint it(I know how, I've done it to phones before), and I'm wanting to take it apart so I can just paint the housing to avoid any damage to the delicate parts. I don't care about the warranty, don't tell me I'll be voiding it by doing this b/c I already know. I'm close to getting it all the way apart, but something is still holding it together even after I take out all 7 screws that I know of. Anyone know if there's a hidden screw or maybe a certain way I have to take it apart? With a cheaper phone I'd just pry till it popped, but not with this one, I gotta be careful.

My guess would be that there's a screw under the mirror

Good thinking, I'm gonna try again tonight & check that out. Do you know if the mirror pops off or what?

Check the internal photos on the FCC website under "detail", then "internal photos"

If the 650 is like the 600 you need to pry the case open:

". . . 2. With all 4 screws removed you can take off the back cover of the unit. The back cover is clipped on so it might be hard to remove. Do so by using the case opener tool. Slide the tool all the way around the releasing the plastic tabs. . . "
