mpx220 wont recognize 512mb card

My friends mpx220 wont see his 512mb card. Any ideas?

What brand is it?

Has your friend....removed the miniSD and reboted the phone and replaced the miniSD?, Made sure that the miniSD file system has not been corupted? (this could happen with certain brands of cards).

Try some of those suggestions and see what happends, most of the time removing the miniSD and rebooting the phone solves the problem.

It may be a problem with your friend's card. I would make sure the card is working. It may not be the phone's fault.

It is a toshiba and he has tried the reboot. Should i try to format it on my computer. Is there a way to format on the phone

Not sure about the 220, but I've had other devices that didn't like cards formatted FAT32. Put it in a PC and reformatting it FAT made things work.

My 220 won't recognize my card unless I open up the file explorer and then insert the card? Maybe you've tried that, if not then give it a try.

The file system maybe corrupted, I would reformat the card with a computer via a card reader. Hope that does the trick for you.

its a dead card, it wont even read in my computer- either of the 2 readers- thanks all
