note recorder question and BT

I just got a HS820 headset for my SMT5600 and I noticed that when I go to use the note recorder, it will not use the Bluetooth headset, rather it uses the built in mic. I can place calls fine using the headset. Any ideas what I might be missing here? Perhaps there is a registry edit or something for this?
