KX2-Trying to upload callerID pics

Using my newly acquired software and USB cable, I've been able to send and receive photos to and from my phone. I've also used some other utilities to unlock games, etc., and I'm pretty happy about it!
What I want to do is resize images on my computer to use as callerID photos. I know the callerID photos are 138x104 in size.
I'm using Photoshop to resize the photos. I ensure, to be on the safe side, that the image is saved as jpg no larger than 5K. Using the program that comes with the cable, I "import" the image (I've also tried just placing it in the image directory directly and uploading) to the program, then upload the image to the phone.
The image shows up in the Media Gallery on the phone. I then designate it as a callerID photo. I can see the image just fine in the callerID photo directory on the phone. Then I choose the photo, assign it to someone, but then... nothing. When that person calls or I view their entry in the directory there is a big blank where the pic should be.
I have tried a couple different methods of assigning the pic to an entry, and nothing. My only thinking is that I have a wrong extention, etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try using using the .png extension. Make sure that the extension is .png and not .PNG, it does make a difference. And don't just change the extension with command prompt or renaming in windows. Open the file in Paint and select to save it as a .png. Post and let me know if this works because I'm interested in doing it myself. Also, what software are you using to do this with?

Not only did it work, it worked great! One thing, the image size should be 132x98 on the KX2 for best display on incoming call without resolution loss due to the phone resizing the image. I used Adobe Photoshop to save it.
