We have BES on Exchange ..
here's the e-mail I got from our IT guy ...
<quote>"We have a bes server but our service is through verizon and would not accept tmobile service."</quote>
Is this true? If not, can somebody steer me to some document that says this is possible, or how can this be done?

A BES is a BES, regardless of provider. As far as I know you can have multiple berry's from multiple providers all on one BES without any problems at all. Sounds to me like your IT guy doesn't know what he's talking about. As far as documentation goes though, I'm affraid I won't be of any help.

Some of the IT guys here are lazy ..
Some are quick to say that some things are not possible, and I had to prove otherwise before they do anything ...
Thanks for the reply ...
Are there any BES admins here that can help me out? I've been through the docs in blackberry.com, and I can't find a statement categorically stating that BES will work with any cell provider ...

OK, your BES admin is full of s**t. You can have any provider's BlackBerry on any BES. The BES software is written by RIM and the place you bought it (Verizon sold it to you) is immaterial.

Dont have the documents, but your IT guy is an idiot, BES is not provider specific, i am BES ADMIN for my company, i have every provider possibly on it, all works just fine.

I can't think of any documentation to point out but we have T-Mobile and Cingular Blackberries on our BES.
