Nokia 8390 flashing keypad problem

I got an 8390 flashing keypad .. for some reason it just keeps on flashing on and on non stop regardless whether the phone is on or off ... does anyone know why it's doing this ? Is it broken ?

It will flash when ever there is a signal going to your phone.

So for example if you receive an SMS message or something it will flash or it will also flash if the phone is checking the network or something.

That is quite common.

However if it is flashing constantly without any stopping or breaking then its possbile you don't have it installed properly, it would be not aligned properly.

My flashing keypad flashes when my friend's using HIS phone...

yeah I Know what you mean .. but that's not the case .. it just flashes whenever I hook it up to the battery .. it's got problems
