Can I just plug my SIM in and it will work, will all the setting be there from my IPAQ? Is there anything I need to do. It arrives in the morning(Friday)

The Treo is slightly different than the PPC-based devices in that once you insert your TMo SIM, the network settings are loaded as they're provisioned to the SIM already, in fact, you cannot modify them. In short, not much to do other than to load the PIM info and configure your email.

Thanks, it arrived today and so far I have to admit, I like it better than the IPAQ 6315 that I have been using. Im not very impressed with the fiddly charger connections and no cradle, for $600, you would think that would be better. I have the Bluetooth working, along with Text but the email is proving to be fun to set up. Has anyone done this? And no I have not read the book....LOL

Maybe that's a good place to start. E-mail shouldn't be difficult to configure at all. What client are you using and who are using an account through?

OK, read the book. I have my email working through T-mobile to tmail.net. But othe email acounts I had set up on the IPAQ are proving more tricky. They go through my own web sites servers. Im not panicking, my wife loves the picture and voice feature, she does not have that on her sidekick. Ha ha... I really like this phone so far, im a little surprised.

Phil,
Glad you got it working quickly. Almost any current device would be a step-up coming from the 63xx

and yes, the 650 > SKII as well

I don't have any of my email addresses going through T-Mobile anymore. It is not necessary. The 650, as well as the 6315, can go directly to the email servers so that's what I have the Treo doing. The 6315 just benefits from going through T-Mobile for the email triggers. If the other accounts are POP accounts, just find out from the ISP what the server settings are to access them and you should be fine.

I have email working pretty well.
The setting is,
user name and pass
pop: my pop server
smtp: myemail.t-mobile.com
I haven't tried pic message MMS since email is working. But #225# and #646# works just fine. I am impressed.
