I bought my SKII from A1 in Nov 04' for $200 with two $75 rebates from A1 and 1 $50 rebate from T-mobile which sounded great... But one of A1 rebates required the 3rd months phone bill, yet it had to be sent in within 120 days after activation and the other had the same stipulation with 4th months bill and within 180 days of activation. So when you do the math you have to wait a long time before you can even send in the rebates then you have a relatively small time window to send them in. And to top it all off rebates are not processed until like 90 days after they are received- so even after following all the guidelines I won't see my money til the middle of this summer.
Oh yeah the T-Mobile rebate requires the original upc off the box while the A1 rebates require a copy. Since the T-mobile one has to be done 1st, if you hadn't made copies already your screwed from the jump because of course A1 will not accept your rebate if your mising any step and will not return anything.
My advise is as follows: Read the rebate form before you start playing with the phone and make sure you send everything either certified mail or priority with delivery confirmation because when they can't get you to make a mistake- "well sir our records don't show that we received your rebate form"
Obvioulsy I am heated, not only with that process but also with the poor SKII service, but I will feel better after I get my Nokia 9500 in November. MP3, MPEG-4, VGA camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, EDGE network, create and edit MS Word and Excel doc's, and third party software that allows it to act as a universal remote control, find hotspots, and access my FTP server. If someone can name a better phone available with a QWERTY keyboard I'll send you my rebates... sometime next year of course
