Hello,
I just barley got my motorola mpx220 yesterday and i cannot find out how to transfer the contacts from the sim card to the phone...... I also cannot find out how to do the microsoft outlook cantacts active syncroniz thing.... well if anybody could help me i would be greatly appreciated.....

1. First of all you complain to much... i read alot of threads where your too worried about the user name of sombody or the title they put that is not "intelligent" enough for you...

2. I have used the search function... and nothing came up that i could find..... i was just wondering how to do the active sync withch isn't that hard to explain now that i know how to do it.... Im a newb with this phone i dont know much about it

3. Third of all This website is for other people that know alot about phones to help the people that dont or if someone has a problem then you could possibly help them.... but the only thing that i see you doing ever is critisizing (sorry if i spelled that wrong im only 14 and not as "intelligent" as you)

so maybe you shouldnt worry about the user name or the way they look things up... you seem to know alot about phones so if someone has a problem with something then maybe you should try to help them out before you start bein an a$$ about there user name ect....

I got my 14 year old one because it seemed to make more sense than getting him a cell phone and an MP3 player.

BTW, I still don't understand why a few of the people here act like such Bozos when a newbie doesn't know what they feel are the "rules of etiquette" on this forum. If you don't like someone's post, it would seem to be easier to ignore it. I've been on lots of forums, from sports to politics to technical topics, and this is the only one where I had to put someone on ignore, and it was because their answer to almost every question is to use search, or whine about the newbie not knowing anything (how insightful).

^ Because this forum has rules, and ALL users, especially new commers should read them and all users should abide to them. And yes, his username is offensive.

Also, the Microsoft Smartphone is not half as big as other forums here; doing a search on this forum is not a hard task.

The point is that if you want to suggest that someone do a search (or whatever behavior you advocate), it would be much more effective if people were friendly about it. BTW, getting a few useful stickys (like a FAQ) shouldn't be hard either, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. So the next time some poor chap that just got his phone and stumbles upon this as his first forum, maybe people could actually offer a little help, while suggesting that the search may help as well.

To be honest, the N-Gage really didn't interest him a whole lot. Apparently it looked too much like a kid's toy to him, and he thought he'd get teased. He's actually starting to out grow the video game stuff, and now he's much more into music (and girls).

Thanks for the help everyone.... i appreciate it... but why is everyone asking why i need a smart phone or not im not a retard im acctualy getting along very well with this phone.... the reason i got this phone is because i got a 4.0 last quarter and my dad was proud.....

sorry about the user name ill make a new name i know that it wasnt a good name im sorry.... butwho would want an n-gage those things are retarded..... o and i have another question and please dont tell me to use the search thingy..... i have been trying to unlock my mpx 200 what has been happening after i unlock it is still all normal like the way the phone works and everything..... i have my sim card in there but it says no service instead of "cingular" does this mean it is unlocked???

A GSM phone is SIM Unlocked if you can put any GSM SIM into the phone and it doesn't ask for any codes unless the it is SIM locked which you should know the code since you must make your own password to lock the SIM to keep other people from getting ahold of it and using it.

Basically, if you can put another SIM in the phone and make calls then your phone is Unlocked.

Well..... Im not to smart with this unlocking thing my dad is trying to help me unlock it so that it can be used with all gsm services.... (hes not to smart either...) he says that the sim he has in ther phone is a registered sim but he cant figure out how to tell if it is unlocked or not (or somthin like that) (sorry if this isn't giving enough detail) does someone have the full instructions ho to do this??? sorry everyone if im not making sense im not sure how to do all of this unlocking stuff....

im just writing what hes tellin me 2..

Lol the ngage is fun to play but is never something that i would want to have for a phone...... a kid at school has one and he let me play it..... it might be fun to take on trips but i dont see any other uses for it.
