Hey guys...
I've been toying with the idea of buying an MCA-25 and have noticed that a lot of people on here have been buying from "Rogers." Is this a person or a store? Is there a website?
Tried to do a search... but there were just to many posts to weed through.
Thanks guys!

Ohhhh... gotcha! Thanks guys!
Wait... so the MCA-25 camera on the Rogers website is $199 Canadian? Does that mean it's only $100 US?
Have people been taking advantage of the exchange rate? Or am I thinking wrong?

Well, first of all, $199 Canadian is not $100 US..it's $130US...second of all there are extra tax (15% in Ontario for example) and duty(if you ship it to US) on that $199 Canadian...last but not least you have to pay extra $15-$20 US for shipping.
So now you get the idea~

Thanks for clarifying that LonelyMe. Sorry for not accurately assuming the Canadian exchange rate.
I always remembered that it was 1:2 for simplicity's sake. Just like I remember England as 1.5:1 and France used to be 1:7 and the EU as 1:1.
Looks like I'm better off finding the MCA-25 on E-Bay.

I have a question about shipping charges mainly taxes etc etc
,
hmm i thought if you're from the us and if you buy canadian stuff u don't charged canadian tax,
cause when i buy stuff from toronto i need to pay for the gst.
(bought a tennis racket from a store in TO)
from the states no duty is charged (NAFTA?)
but there's a $5 charge for determining the tax and then i'll need to pay fro the GST and PST (unless i get the person sending to me to declare as a gift)
can someone clarify this?
thx
Raymond

you don't get charged taxes like gst or pst. but you get charged duties by customs...they only things you don't get charged duties on are things that are made in canada or the us...that is where nafta comes in. if they tennis racquet you bought is made in china or something then you have to pay duties...unless it is a gift. then you get a $60max exemption from duties.

Sweet,
thx for the clarification
Raymond
does the $60 apply to all goods (made in canada/us) or certain items?
