HI wondering if anyone could tell me how to change the faceplace of my kyocera slider. Can get to two of the screws, but not the ones under the slider itself.

You have to take the entire phone apart, starting with the screws under the battery.

RE-POST!

Ok, honestly, i think a 12 year old could do this

Open up the phone wiht a torx 6 screwdriver(A small flat head will also work) Rip off the back pannel. Take the board out, but be careful, cause the flex cable is there. Take out the flex cable by opening the little brown piece ontop of the port. Remove the flex cable from there. unscrew all the screws on the part that hods the keyboard pannel in. Unscrew the screws ont eh slideing pannel. Remove the slideing pannel from the front plate. Be midful of the flex cable when doing this. Take out the front keyboadr/LCD holder. Now the phone is in a bunch of pieces.

To put it back together you must put the keyboard/LCD holder in the new front plate. Put the new sliding plate on the front plate and put the flex cable on the little slot thingey, attach the new keyboard pannle, screw the screws, now re-attach the flex cable into the back pannel. To do this you must lift the brown piece on teh port insert it in as much as it will go and then put it back down. Insert the keyboard into the new houseing, put the back speaker plate on, and your done!

EDIT: I forgot to tell you to take out the speaker from the back speaker pannel...my bad...

unless you plan to get a full housing, I don't suggest doing this. most faceplates have a tendency to not fit quite as well as the factory molding making your faceplate not slide well, squeak, not fit properly causing it to not close properly or open properly. a full housing has the same problems, but at least a full housing looks nicer. if you want a faceplate, try to find one of the push on faceplates that just push onto and over the exsisting faceplate.
