I just got my 7100t and I upgraded to the latest 4.0 t-mobile software and now I can't make calls

even from my addressbook it only gives me the email or sms option it does not say call and when I press the numbers to dial nothing happens

Please help, T-Mobile can't get me through to the BB support team

Unfortunately, when Application Loader upgraded the device to 4.0, it did not, by default, check off all of the boxes when loading the new software.

Locate a file called "VENDOR.XML" on your C: drive and delete it. It gets created every time you start Desktop Manager.

Connect the BB and start Desktop Manager. Open Application Loader. Make sure all of the boxes are checked off (I'd bet "Phone" is not checked). Let the load process complete and restart.

You should be good to go.

so I have to make sure all the boxes are checked?

Cause the browser doesn't work either

searching for that file still

Yes - make sure all of the boxes are checked (well, if you don't need DOD certs, I wouldn't check that one).

Ok I checked off all the boxes, now all that I get is the hour glass

I hope I didn't break it

It can take up to 15 minutes to reset after updating.
You can hide the Enterprise Activation icon by scrolling to the icon, pressing the ALT key and clicking the wheel. A menu with a hide icon option will appear.

The enterprise Activation icon will go away as soon as it is done updating. If the icon is still there then it is not finished and it will tell you the % complete.

Thanks

I'm gonna post this here, instead of starting a new thread. I just finally installed the updated OS on my BlackBerry 7520. It shows version 4.0.0.249 (I'm hoping that's the correct up-to-date one, it's the only updated one I've downloaded) now. I let the install complete, then did the online registration from the device (in the Host Routing Table menu). Problem is, that even after doing that, my BB HTML Browser still isn't showing up, and even though the Desktop Manager backed up all my info, it did NOT reinstall REQWireless WebViewer!

So, can someone tell me what I've done wrong? I need to get the BB HTML browser up & running, and/or get REQWireless WebViewer back on my device, but preferably both. Any help here would be hot.

P.S. This is my first time doing an OS update (I've only had the BB since February), so please, be gentle with me.

EDIT: BB Browser is working now. I remembered that I needed to go to Nextel.Com, log into my BBWC, and send the Internet Browsing Service Book down to my device. As soon as I did, BICKETY-BAM, there the Browser was!

Now I guess I just have to reinstall REQWireless WebViewer. :-|
