NO CHARGE, the charge icon doesnt even appear, it stays on the battery icon!! What the hell is this? suddenly my phone will not charge or communicate with my computer anymore! i tried different wall and usb cords, master resetting, just about anything i thought that might help this situation but nope, no luck! I pretty much think that communication port on the phone is defective, and ill probaly have to send it in to motorola to have them fix or replace it, but if anyone here has any info that can be of any assistance, please share! Thanx! |

| Originally posted by princeasi 1) Thanx for your attempt to help, but your not here to judge whats an intelligent subject heading or not! "What the hell" was an expression of my frustration! If you have some helpful info about my situation then you should only post that, if not, it would greatly be appreciated to leave the extras to yourself! |
| Originally posted by princeasi I may not have post much, but I'm not a newbie to this forum! |

| Originally posted by princeasi 3) Once again, thanx for your attempt to help but the link is a waste of space becuz it directs to the search function which you probaly think i didn't use before posting my situtaion! |
| Originally posted by princeasi Since this problem occurred, i've still been tryin to find ways to get it to charge and communicate with my computer, but nothings helped, i never dropped it, or got it wet, the casing is in excellent condition, but something is internally wrong. I honestly think its just a defective model and i need to send it out to moto to have them replace or repair! oh yeah i did trying blowing it too! No luck! |

Originally posted by AlbertoM Yes we are here to judge. And a subject of "What the hell" does tell us that you are frustrated, but does not give us a compelling reason to look, much less help.Forgive us, but then again, you do sound like a newbie in the question. Are we supposed to guess? Hm. Because you did not mention like most people in a similar situation do? We still don't know! I agree. It sounds defective. However, it could also be a driver. Insofar as you are going to send it back, I would try a hard reset, then try again (or is that what you meant by master reset?).

Originally posted by tatum princeasi - This happened to me about a month ago. I tried different chargers, hard/master reset and nothing helped. I ended up called Cingular's Customer Service and told them the problem and that I had already tried several different methods of charging and reseting the phone. They connected me with Cingular XBM (exchange by mail) and two days and a few bucks later (for shipping, charged to your bill) I had myself a new (probably refurbished) mpx220 and just had to send the non-charging one back. Assuming you're a Cingular customer this should work for you too! Hope this helps! |

Originally posted by princeasi Big thanx to you tatum, your post alone has so far been the most informative! It was straight forward, hopefully it will work for me as it has worked for you! Now for the OTHER guy! Dont be a dork about this, apparently there must have been 400+ that thought my subject heading was compelling enough to stop by and take a look, and No, you were not supposed to guess, thats why you have the HYPERLINKED subject header to satisfy your curiousity! Next, No i did not state whether i used a search function or not! I dont have to state that! it would be different if this was a common issue like the volume and sd mini problems, but its not! LIKE I SAID im not a newbie to this forum(hint hint: more than likely search func. used before posting!). My phone problem was clearly explained, the option should be simple to an educated reader as it was to tatum, either you can, or cannot help! plain and simple! You would've been much more of an assistance if you would have only said this"I agree. It sounds defective. However, it could also be a driver. Insofar as you are going to send it back, I would try a hard reset, then try again (or is that what you meant by master reset?). For those whom it concern please leave the smart@$$ comments to yourself! Thank You! |
