Hello guys,

I am whilling to try the new 1.2.5 Firmware that a colleague posted in this forum, but I have quite some info and software loaded on my Cingular 1.3 phone.

Is there a recomended software wich can help me get a FULL backup of my phone, including apps and all??. Also, will it work properly if I do the firmware upgrade and then I restore everything back on the phone?

I just wouldnīt like to lose all my stuff again, since this is only for testing....I donīt see anything wrong with my actual 1.3 release, but since I live in europe, I wouldnīt mind switch to the European version.

Thanks all!

Well, I had most of my music and stuff on my minisd card so it really didnt get lost. I also had PHM Reg Edit and Agile Mesenger on the phone that did get lost. It took only seconds to download them back to the phone. I really do love 1.25 rom. It beats the pants off the Cingular one. Go for it. About the backup thing I doubt there is anything like that out there.

Sprite backup.

do a google search for it.

I have it and it works great when you have to do a hard reset or change ROM

Other than the volume, what do you like better about the 1.25 version? Since the volume has always been OK on mine (and my son's (actually his still has the original .325)) I've been holding off on doing any upgrades until there is an "official" one from Cingular.

Upgrade to the offical 1.03 Cingular version.

I upgraded mine, and I liked most of what it did, but it introduced an issue with the MiniSD card, where I have to "kick start" it after rebooting (on the older .325 the MiniSD was flawless). Since my son uses his for playing MP3s all the time, we decided not to upgrade his.

Hmm, I had 1.03 for the longest time (until I upgraded to the unbranded 1.25) and never had a mini-sd issue. What actully happens?

When I reboot the phone, it usually won;t see anything on the MiniSD card the first few tries that anything looks there. Now when I have to reboot, I just go into File manager and keep clicking on "\Storage Card", and then any thing else, going back and forth until my stuff on the card shows up. Once it does show up, it's fine after that.
