I have read everything I could find on the forums & websites regarding USB installation, and have successfully installed and used the USB drivers on my personal computer (windows XP) using my i860.

However, I just cant seem to get the USB to work on my work computer, which is where I need it most. I use a Dell Lattitude, Windows 2000 professional. I have downloaded the driver and installed it 3 times, but phone does not get detected. I have tried the troubleshooting techniques (such as changing the root hub USB power save properties) to no success.

What I would like to do is start from scratch, should I just keep re-installing the driver, or can drivers be un-installed? If so, how?

Any suggestions or tips I may not have tried?

Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem for about 3 months, but no one wanted to help so I decide to go and buy a new USB cable and guess what problem solved. Some cables are useless, I suggest you go try and buy another one.

Thanks for the input, the problem is that I have two USB cables, both the name brand Motorola cables, and both work on my personal computer with my i860 and my i830, and these cables have also been used at work on other computers/phones.

There must be something on my computer that is not configured right.... I will keep troubleshooting and post any more info if possible.
