Anybody know if its possible to listen to the radio on a 6255 using a bluetooth headset?
Does it make any difference between BT 1.1 and 1.2?
TIA

The phone is only BT 1.1 and u have to have the headset in to use the antenna for it.

The 6255 BT is using the Handfree profile and the radio is not supported by audio gateway profile.
you can listen to the radio through the loudspeaker, but you have to connect a headset for an antenna, like he said...

is there any way to listen to the radio without plugging in the headset as an antenna? Why wouldn't nokia integrate the antenna of the phone itself into the radio's function thus making the radio feature a function not requiring you to carry around the headset earbud?

You can probably get away without the headset/antenna if you don't mind hanging out underneath you favorite station's transmission tower. Do bring your lead-lined undies, tho.
The wavelength for FM requires a long antenna, so it's not something any sane designer would try to pack into a phone when real estate is already at a premium.... technically, it's quite a clever solution.

no, you must connect an enhancement to activate the radio. The antennas are not compatible.
It is the same thing as, "why do I have to add an external antenna for my car kit? I already have an antenna for my radio."
