Any OBJECTIVE "scientific" phone evaluation sites?

I'm looking for a REVIEW source that uses credible, objective testing methods for testing cell phone performance. One that uses verifiable, repeatable testing methods to evaluate phone performance in fringe areas, audio quality for both transmit and receive, ability to "hold" calls, etc. etc.

I find tons of "opinions" from individuals extolling the virtues or shortcomings of the phone they own, but most lack any credible evidence of testing using objective testing methods. Mostly what I'm looking for is which phone works best in rural areas as a PHONE as opposed to which has the most techno-features.
