New owner of an SMT5600. Nice phone.

I am trying to use the feature that will allow me to get email automatically on the phone from an Exchange 2003 server.

I manage the Exchange 2003 server. I have Tmobile service with internet working. Currently, I've been using Outlook Mobile Access on the Exchange 2003 server to manually check email.

I've played with the settings under Messaging, Outlook Email, several times, and I've been unsuccessful thus far. Now, I'm unclear on what I need to do, and I'm more confused than when I started.

Anyone using the same setup or similar? Any advice?

Go to Outlook Email under messaging, hit menu, then options. Select Account Setup. Hit menu again then New. Enter in your account details and you should be goo to go.
