I usually have to export the file as an mp3, then rename it to mid, but it seems to work fine, at least on my computer and my phone. (LG VX4500)

As for trimming down the size of the mp3 files and adjusting the volume so they will be loud enough to work well as ringtones I downloaded a free program called Mp3MyMp3 Once installed it will record anything on your computer. "If you can hear it you can record it" is their slogan. You can start playing something on winamp, or whatever player you use, and record any song or piece of a song by just pressing record and stop on the recorder. You can also adjust the volume of the recording. You can save the recorded music as either a WAV or an MP3 file to any folder you want and then use Josh's application to transfer that file to your phone as a ringtone. |
