Quick VX7000 mp3 question

I just started putting mp3s on my VX7000 when a friend warned me about his phone. His phone is of a different brand but it has a limit to how many songs can be put on it before it starts to slow down, lock up, or just freeze. He got that information from the respective forums on this site.
I was just making sure if there is a known limit to the amount of files or memory I can fill up on my phone. I just want to make sure I don't mess up my phone.
