Originally posted by drizze99 I know, but you want that thing fully charged! *IF* you flash your ROM and then you place a HALF (50%) charged battery in the phone thinks its a new battery and then makes the 50% -> 100%. In reality, the max you can charge the battery is 50% because at 50%, the phone thinks that is 100%. Does that make sense? I'm having trouble putting it into words!

Originally posted by drizze99 LINK to Smartphone WM2002 modem driver (right-click, save as....) 1) Remove battery, SIM, & storage card (if any) from the phone and connect to Motorala data cable. 2) Connect data cable to PC and windows should prompt you about finding a new device. The install driver wizard should pop-up and you want to go to "advanced" so ou can manually tell the PC where the driver is. 3) Browse to where you saved the driver (smartfon.inf) and select it. 4) now just keep hitting next unitl it installs it. **you may get a warning about the driver not being signed and you want to chose "continue anyway".** |

Originally posted by AlbertoM OK, THAT worked. I had left the USB cable in, and it wasn't until I pulled it out and plugged it back in that the system recognized it had a new device, and I followed the rest of your steps and it worked!!! Thank you, thank you. Now it thinks it is orange rather than blue, although it has an ATTWS SIM in it....now to wait for the official release.....!!!!

Originally posted by AlbertoM Actually no. On purpose I flashed it with the 1.30 (1.030) Cingular ROM. The camera makes a shutter sound, although I can use a registry editor to change a 1 to a 0 and get rid of that if I wanted to.. The menus are organized slightly differently, and it is, of course, now branded Cingular rather than ATTWS. I decided to go that way, as not knowing what the upgrade from Motorola would be, I was afraid that it would be specific to Cingular and fail if applied to ATTWS, like it did before when they put out 1.30. This way I would hope that it will see it as a Cing product and upgrade it. I decided not to go with the 1.25, as I am satisfided with my volimes, and again I did not want conflicts when the time came to upgrade to the next release.... The phone is still locked, incidentally. It is now branded Cing, but can only use ATTWS SIMs.
