Cant install my USB cable. Help!!!!!!!!!!

Hi , guys.

Now heres the problem I have. I try installing a USB cable for my Lg 6000(I bought on Ebay). Here is the message I get during installation

The following software you are installing for this hardware:
Lg usb composite device

has not passed windows Logo testing to verify its compatiblity with Windows XP. (Tell me why this testing is important) {I can click on this and read tis}

Is there something wrong with the USB cable. I need help !!!!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestion .

I bought a cable off of EBAY for my LG 535 and I am getting the same message. It finally says its installed properly but it doesnt show up when I go to my computer after plugging my phone in. ANyone know whats wrong?

you can just hit continue installation, i had the same message pop up and i bought my cable from verizon so i knew it was ok.

I actually did click install anyway, but now it says the driver has malfunctioned... I will try in reinstall the drivers, but maybe the USB is faulty. One thing though, if i launch the Bitpim it is able to read what file I have on my phone, so I don't know whats going on.
The main thing I want to do with the cable is to add songs to the MP3 player, not really too worried about wallpaper etc..
