Is there a way to get the "Missed Call" alarm to repeat for SMT 5600?

I tried a search, but couldn't find anything that helped.

Is there a way to get my SMT 5600 to repeat an audible or vibrate alert when I have missed a call? I have missed a few calls while down the hall at the office and didn't notice until hours later that someone had called.

I find the visual message insufficient.

Perhaps there is a program that does this?

Thanks!

There is a registry edit. It was posted on this forum a long time ago.......I will see if I can find it for you...

I'm keen to know if this same reg hack is possible on the MPX220 too - I've seen how the RAZR V3 makes continuous noises every 5 minutes on missed calls and unread SMS's until they have been read.

Yeah that would be great to have a missed call alert go off every 2 minutes or so on the 220.

I can't find it! But its not all that cracked up...if I remember correctly people who used this registry edit had problems getting the alert to stop. The would read there email, MMS, or SMS but it would still loop and wouldn't shut off.

You need to add a string to get this to work....and for the life of me I can't remember it....

This will work with any Smartphone not just the SMT 5600 or the MPx 220. Remember both the phones run on Windows Mobile 2003 and have the same core registry.

EDIT: Well I searched and searched and I can't find it...sorry guys. Hopefully some one remembers about this and knows where to find it.

Thanks for looking though. I don't think I would like to have a looping alarm on the phone, that would be even more aggravating.

I wonder if there is a progarm that can do this? I have seen some basic "Phone management" programs... call timers, etc., etc., so who knows.

I'll try MODACO and SMARTPHONETHOUGHTS.

Hey Omega,

Is this the thread you were looking for?

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...threadid=542341

which says:
---------
Fix sms notification problem

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...threadid=536536

Make notification repeate (BTT)

You can add a script for a sound to make it repeat.

I did this for my alarm, and it won't shut up until I "Dismiss" it.

I added the same notification for the "SMS" tree:

\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\SMS
Script (String Value) = apw30r

I assume "a" or "ap" is for the audio playback, and "w##" is the wait, and the "r" is to repeat the script.

The only problem is that it won't shut up, even after I read and delete the message.

So perhaps you can use "apw30apw30apw30apw30...." so it'll play for at least 5 minutes or so.
