My girlfriend and I were wrestling the other day and I forgot I had my phone on me. Anyways she kicked the side of me and she hit my phone. She shattered the exterior and interior lcd screens, so the phone is now useless. From what I understand Cingular does not have insurance on this phone, so i gotta fix it myslef. My question is, does anyone have an estimate of how much Motorola well chaarge me to fix this?

u could have moto do... or u could get the screens from www.cnn.cn for like $30 and fix them yourslef and while you are at it, change the case to black!!

Impaitent on seeing someone change the case aren't we...lol. Don't worry I am going to do it this summer....lets hope I don't hose my phone

Sent it to motorola service dept. I had the same thing happen and they replaced it for free, took about 10 days total from the time i dropped it off at FedEx to the day i got it (well a new one) back.

I should note technically they should have charged me $70 for it (flat fee when you're under warrenty).

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised how delicate the phone is though for it to have so much damage with something that happened like that. Also will I loose any data on my phone? I cant back anything up since I cant see how to get into Activesync

You will lose everything, but you should be able to plug it in and iniate activesync from your PC. Otherwise turn your phone on, assuming there arent any other programs installed in the way hit:
The button to pull up the start menu (top left button)
Then hit "5"
Then hit the top left button again.

So lets say Moto does decide to charge me...... they would be charging me only $75.00 plus tax right?
