CDM 8910: trouble recieving sounds

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so I posted in here. I have Metro PCS (Florida). I bought the Audiovox CDM 8910 a few days ago and I have the whole package for the phone (except any computer accessories). The only problem is when someone (or myself) sends me a sound through messaging, it doesn't play. It downloads fine and I receive it fine. I'll try and save it to "My media" and It will say "No object Available" if I try to save it to a contact it will say "Originated Addr. is same as CB or non-exsistent." I'll save it to my saved folder and it still won't play. Now, when I send sound to other people they get it just fine. And the people that I send it to either has Audiovox 8900 or the same as mine.
I've called Metro and they couldn't do nothing for me, they told me to take it to a store. I go to the store and they look at me confused. All they can say is maybe the software isn't installed. Or there's a block on my phone. They've sent me to 2 other stores and I've gotten nothing.
I've called Audiovox and they tell me it's the same thing about how they have to program it in there. But, I have to go through my service provider (which couldn't help me in the first place).
My question is, what do I need to do to fix this? Is there a code I need to put in? do, I have to send it another way? I retrieve pictures fine, I just can't hear sound when it's sent to me.
If someone could help me with this problem I would gladly appreciate it. thank you!
