Ok, so I unlocked my 7100t after getting the unlock code from TMobile. And now there is this small blue triangle on the left hand side of the carrier name (Tmobile).
Is this the sign of an unlocked phone?
I did check under Options, Sim Card and then typing MEPPD to check the status and it shows as:
SIM Disabled
Network Inactive
Network Subset Disabled
Service Provider Disabled
Corporate Disabled
So I am pretty sure the unlock worked as it changed from Active to Inactive on the Network setting....

thats weird,
call 18009378997 on another phone and ask to speak to the blackberry group if you're curious. I've unlocked 5 ot 6 7100t's and have never seen that

I'm in CA and after unlocking my 7100T with T-Mobile, I got a triangle over the GPRS indicator. I believe it is due to the fact that the phone when unlocks receives the tower information from the tower and not the SIM. Since T-Mobile has not yet changed the Alpha Tag indicator, the phone thinks that its roaming.
Its at best an annoyance. If you have a national plan, there's no roaming. I'm told it will be resolved in 2006.
