Sidekick Prepaid Not Working

Yesterday there was service maintainence performed here, and it finished at 5:30am, but my data services never returned. Note that my friends with sidekicks on post-paid did not have this problem. I called up customer service and they were terrible. I spent about an hour on the phone only to be told my problem could not be solved. They "sent it up to engineering" to further investigate or something, and it should be resolved in between 24-72 hours. Am I the only one who thinks that this is ridiculous?? I only got credited 5 dollars too, I read on here that some people got credited $10.
Very frustrating day...
Recap: I lost my G, and I have a little spinning ball thing where the G should be, data services don't work, but the phone service does. 3 bars of service. Can anyone give me advice on what to do?

When I had that problem, I go to Control > Wireless and turn off wireless, wait 3 minutes, and turn on wireless. It resets the connection and the G comes back.
