if you have cingular with internet capabilites and you buy an unlocked sidekick can you still use the internet and everything?? someone said they think you have to have the unlimited sidekick plan ...if you do, whats the point of having an unlocked sidekick??

1. No.
2. Sidekicks work only with those providers that support it (T-Mobile, Fido, SunCom in N.Am)
3. T-Mobile "only" has Unlimited
4. There is none. It won't work on Cingular as anything other than a phone and txt.

yeah you should switch to tmobile. the $45.99 1000 whenever minutes unlimited nights/weekend is now back.. i dont know how long its going to be back so if your thinking of switching now is the time... plus the sidekick plan is 20 bucks more...

i need help!! i just got a Sidekick II and i was trying to set up the external e-mail, but it will not verify!! everything in it is correct, but it keeps telling me to check the user name and password...???? i have Outlook Express and it's all the same as what is in my sidekick!! please help me!! thank you!!!

well if its yahoo you have to pay a monthly fee to get a pop3 account for yahoo... msn will not let you direct your mail to your sidekick..

First T-Mobile is not the only carrier with unlimited Data.
Fido carries HipTop data for 20 a month which is unlimited.

You can have you hiptop sync with outlook express with a software that is $20 to download you need to contact your carrier for it. cant remember the name but I think it was intellisync, it was the big new thing when SK2 came out. I know Fido has it.

You misread my post. Maybe I should have phrased it as "T-Mobile offers ONLY unlimited plans with it's SidekickII plans". I think you read it as "Only T-Mobile...".

Of course other providers (in countries other than the US) offer SKII/HiptopII service.

hotpop.com and gmail.com pop3 accounts will work on the SK (free)...
