Hi guys,

My Cingular GSM Treo 650 Will be here monday, What should I do to it right away? As far as updates and fixes? I know of the following problems:

Earpiece volume is too quiet
Treo resets constantly
Can't use bluetooth to share an internet connection with a PC

What am I missing? Also which of these are there fixes for?

Oh and what bluetooth headset and case does everyone reccomend? I have a Motorola HS-820, should I bother buying a different one?

If you just got it then it should be using the latest FW version of 1.06 which would not require updating. Any lower version then go to the PalmOne website and click on support then choose your phone to download the latest update.

So if I buy a branded cingular treo 650 this week then I don't need to update to this 1.23 FW they're talking about in another thread?

That FW is based off the internation unlocked T650 and not yours. You can install that 1.23 fw on the Cinguler T650 but you will loose the Cingular software and warranty.

So that means I won't have the low volume problem that these people have if I get the cingular branded treo 650?

Volume issues is subjective to person and phone in which on my side Ive never ran into a problem with the T650. Those 1.21 and 1.23 FW version do increare interal volume in phone calls but most likely case premature life of the speaker.

Hi, I have the Treo 650 branded with Cingular, but unlocked and using unde the T-Mobile service plan. I was wondering, how can I increase the earpiece volume? How do I check the firmware to see if there is an update? I also have a Treo 650 for verizon and are there any updates for that? Thanks!

Phone screen --> menu button --> options --> phone info.

You can see what software you're using from there.

It really doesn't crash that much as long as you leave decent amount of memory available. I keep most of my crap on the SD card. It's quite predictable as far as crash goes. It's usually when I am in a memory hungry program (browser etc.) and I call up another big program (a 1MB+ game)directly via Hi-Launcher.

I would go for the stereo/speaker headset. I ordered it from Amazon but I had to RAM the first one.
