help, phone book nerfed

I was trying to connect to bitpim and it was trying to establish communication with my LG VX6100.
The program kept trying to communicate and was unable. I could not find any option to stop the communication, so I had to finally quit from task manager.
Now my phone book on phone is broken, completely 
How do I get it working?
I cannot even add new entries and have them work

Did you back up your filesystem?
