I was using soundforge and bitpim to download ringtones onto my Vx6100. I was able to get them to work but they sounded aweful! They were muffled and played real low. What can I do to get to them to sound as good as the ones you can buy and download from get it now. I'm running out of transfers in soundforge, I only have about 11 left.

I convert my mp3's to 40 Kbps, 22,050 Hz What bit rate are you using and what version and build of soundforge are you using?

I'm using Soundforge 8.0 and bitpim 0.62 and 32kbps and 20050 Hz

Ive used 32kbps and 2250Hz in the past with no problems. Maybe it's your mp3's. What build of soundforge 8.0 do you have?

mhe77,

I can't get BitPim to work for me, so I have to send my ringtones through emailing them to yournumber@vzwpix.com.

Anyways, the last time I tried to send a ringer, I got an email back that said it failed because the file is too large. What settings do you recommend to set the ringtone at? I have Sound Forge 7.0.

Try 32kbps and 2250Hz and cut your file down to about ten sceonds. If it is still to big then try the next lowest bit rate.
