Old SIM or new SIM with Treo 650

Did a search, but what I found wasn't clear as I am not very familar with SIM cards....

Have AT&T GSM for over two years (was on charter plan for a while.) That said, my original SIM card is a blue color with white writing. It doesn't really say anything else on it, but its old. Not sure if its 16k, 32k, or something else.

Just bought a Treo 650. I have popped my old SIM card in and the phone seems like it works fine, although I haven't traveled much, so not sure if it makes a difference.

That said, I received a new SIM Card (White, and its made by Axalto.) Shoud I have that SIM activated and use that card in the Treo 650? Does it give me any benefit whatsoever? Is what I am describing even a 64k sim card?

By the way, I am not on the Charter Plan anymore, but I think I am still on the "blue" network.

THanks in advance
MF

Can you access your voicemail by pressing the voicemail soft button?

If so, you are fine... if not you might want to see if you can switch to the Axlato card. The Gemplus cards are totally compatiable with the Treo 650.

Yea it was only like 33% of the 650's that had a problem with the Gemplus 64k SIM cards, but would still ask for an Axalto card if they have any. We just got ours in. Swapped out all 3 of my Gemplus out for them.
