i just got this phone from england i unlocked it here but it came with out a home charger or headset and i am looking for the past 4 hours straight! no kidding for a headset that is compatible for a sharp tm100 or headset adapter, its got a weird connector as u probably know, does anyone know where i can find one?
also i purchased a charger from ebay germany and it seems to work but i am not sure if it has an ic chip as i put it in charge last night and after the phone was charging all night it showed the third or fourth bar still charging! when originally it showed the meter charging from the first to the fourth. after 7 hours of charging and little use it died like 2.5 hours later!
i charged it in my car charger for like 1 hour and the phone died within like 15 minutes! is it the chargers? or is it the battery? i want to buy a battery or a new charger so any help on which one i need would be great!
thanks in advance for any help in this matter.
ijcy.

i might be the charger. Can you post a pic of the charging port? If its the same as the TM150/GX32 then you could look for another charger on ebay or something

ok so last night i charged it overnight and in the morning it did show that its fully charged so the charger is probably ok, i feard it did not have the the ic chip which stop charging when the battery is full and therefore overcharges and ruins the battery so i guess its not that.
one thing i should of mentioned and i forgot was that this phone was in transit back and forth because of mistakes on the part of the sender and problems with customs for a total of 2 and a half months so the battery was completly dead. could that be the reason, could it be that since it was dead for so long that its like starting from the begining where usually u have to completley drain the battery and then recharge it overnight for a couple or three times b4 it gives u maximium power?
because even though it did tell me that it was fully charged in the morning after 5 hours of standby and maybe 15 minutes talk time plus 3 games on pacman its down to 1 line left on the battery, so is it the battery? or is it just because it needs a couplke of more good chrges from drained?
thanks!

it could be that the battery was drained for so long, if you notice battery life getting better with each subsequent charge, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about

well i am not sure! today i left it evernight and in the morning i looked andit was half full and even though the charger was plugged it showed that it was not charging anymore! so i took it out of the charger and put it back in and it statrted charging again. and now i just checkd and it showed that the 4th bar on the meter is charging, once i took it out again it showed that it is fully charged and when i put it back in it is not doing nothing?!
so i guess the best bet since i dont know if its the battery or or the charger ishould just get both off ebay maybe?

There's another way to charge the TM100 other than using the charger. Actually I found this quite convenient when I used my GX30 datacable and saw that the LED on the side of my TM100 was red indicating that it was charging.
I found that neat cuz I'm not sure if other datacables does it cuz I always try to buy a phone with an IRDA so it saves me the money for a cable

So if you don't have an infrared port and you know you are gonna customize your phone with wallpapers and ringtones, might as well get the datacable and have that extra feature to charge your phone through your computer and see if its the battery's problem or the charger's.

Yup, just make sure if you do buy a datacable, get the one from sharp for the GX3x series. It charges the TM100 and GX30/32
