I am having a little problem with my SKII. i charge the phone (the phone is on and i plug it in) overnight and i bring it to school. By the time I get home at 3, the battery is dead. I don't use it at school very much, maybe like 20 minutes tops of texting throughout the day. Is this defective? Is there something I am doing wrong?

i had the same problem... the battery is defective... is the brightness all the way up? if it is try lowering the brightness to the middle.. the brighter the screen is the more power it uses... also is it still under warrenty? if it is take it back youll get another sk2 for free

Yea my brightness is not even up halfway and the backlight only stays on for 15 seconds, the lowest. I bought my skii on amazon less than 30 days ago so I should be able to return it but they don't sell it on amazon anymore so I'm not sure

since its a new phone then you have a 1 year warrenty...call or go to your local tmobile store and they will set everything up... it might take a while but i usually get my phones including the sk2 within 7 business days

Do you use its vibration feature? I noticed when I use its vibration feature it uses up a lot of battery life. Try this if you don't do it, whenever you're done texting, hold the "arrow" button (bottom-right) for a few seconds to save energy.

well i have my vibrater on and im on my phone all day or texting/IMing all day and still my battery will last me the whole day and night..after im done using the phone i usually have 1/2 or 3/4 of a battery... sometimes if i dont put it on the charger untill i go to bed i will have 1 line of battery left but thats not very often.. i suggest you just get a replacment.. i mean its defective and i rather get a refurbed phone then have my new but defective sk2.. before you call just to make things easier write down the imei and serial number. usually tmobile doesnt ask for my serial number but write it down anyways so you wont have to put the call on speaker while you tell the rep the imei and serial number.

tried the skII - first one had a battery that lasted maybe 24hrs ... dialed the brightness as low as possible, set all ringers to soft or silent. So i sent it back for another immediately. the replacement lasted only 18hrs - quite a cold shower after my blackberry lasts 5 days. skIII should have a "sleep mode" so that it goes dormant between meaages & call ... blackberry does!

beautiful (yet large) gadget ... terrible battery!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! that was wrong... my Hiptop battery usually lasted me 24 hours, so shouldn't the Hiptop2 have a better battery? at least 48 hours? i really think you have a defective one.
