BB Desktop Redirector Broken?

Not sure if this has been discussed before but as I understand it (From talking to Bell Mobility), the Blackberry Desktop Redirector in v4 is broken and has something to do with the 30 day key generator?

I am using a 7250 if that helps.

Can this be confirmed? Is there a workaround or a timeline when it will be fixed?

Yup.. 4.0 has problems with generating the encryption key. I kept getting failures when I would try to send a message after it generated a new key.

I ended up installing 3.7 and using that instead. So far it works fine. But it hasn't asked me to regenerate a key yet. We will see...

I rolled back to the Desktop 3.6 software and it is still broken - do I have to roll back the OS on the BB too? Is that even possible?

You need to run a utility called "dbclean.exe". That purges the registry and MAPI profile of all the encryption stuff. If you call RIM support they will email it to you.
