Ok, I can't seem to get this information confirmed. Couple of months back I called Verizon and asked if AIM was free with the data plan. They said that it was free with the data plan (does not count against text messaging). Today I just got off the phone with another rep and he told that IT DOES COUNT AGAINST my text messaging.

So I'm assuming that it will count against my text messaging. Can anybody verify this? If it does count against text messaging has anybody figured out a way to have it over the TCP/IP so it won't count against the text?

Also I was wondering if anybody knew if this was going to work...go to AIM.com, purchase the AIM for PDA and install it. Run it off of that.

Will be getting my XV6600 on wed. so I can't test anything out. Just wanted hard facts before I receive my phone from UPS.

Just got off the phone with another rep...she told me that it does not count againt text if you get the unlimited data plan. Made her put a note in the account to hold her word for it if there ever was a problem. Can somebody confirm pls?
