I have been using the versamail client with my earthlink pop email. I have a Treo 650. It has no trouble receiving mail. My smtp outgoing server is Cingular.

I have had the intermitant problem that when I empty the trash and the Treo prompts me with the question of whether to delete mesages from the server. I say "yes." Later, I will check my email and the messages will reappear (either on the Treo or on my PC). The messages are not being deleted, even when it connects and say they are being deleted.

This is currently happening. It has happened before, then it stops. Any ideas would be appreciated.

try using chatteremail way better. www.chatteremail.com

You have to reconnected to the server to empty the trash.

It does reconnect. As I was saying before. I was working and removing messages from the server. Now, it is not.

Which is better "chattermail" or "snappermail?" I currently use versamail it's not that bad, but it crashes sometimes and make my Treo do a soft reset. So I'm ready to change it.
