Hey guys,

I'm new to the board, and have a Audiovox CDM 8900. I'm trying to create my own ringtone from mp3's on my PC. Is there a size limit on the file that I can make and upload to the phone?? There is a site that I found (funformobile.com) that sends the file via pix text message that's supposed to work.

Anyways, is there a way to do all of this, and upload it without cables??

And, what file types does this phone accept?? mp3, wma....what??

Someone give me directions please!

Read man! the 8900 is the easiest of the Audiovox to get playing custom ringtone

you just upload a xxx.mp3 renamed xxx.mid under the /rng folder with a decent download_snd.txt and you're set

Thanks, but I am rookie at all of this, so I'm not sure what to do. From what I can tell, I need to get a cable.....is that correct?? If it's very easy to change file names, can you give me directions on how and exactly what to do?? I would appreciate it!
