use bitpim 0.7.29, it is really really easy to use and will upload midi, wav, and mp3. I used qpst with my old samsung and couldnt figure out how to upload any ringers, but with bitpim it took only a minute or two.

sorry wrong post
You can have about 70 custom ringers on the phone. The user/ringer folder can hold 30 tones. The MMS/sounds (i think) folder on the root can hold 20 ringers total - the 5 preloaded mms sounds can be found there. Inside that folder there's a DRM folder. That folder can hold 20 more ringers.
Once you upload the ringtones to the folders, go to the dloadindex folder under the root. Delete the brewRINGERindex.map for the ringtones under user/ringer folder. The mmsRINGERindex.map is for the ringtones in the MMS folder. The drmRINGERindex.map is for the ringers in the drm folder.
Once you've deleted the index(es), restart the phone and it will rebuild the index(es) with the new ringers included. In the mmsRINGERindex, those 5 preloaded tones will always come back, no matter how many times you delete them (if you add tones by deleting the index).
