mp3s in the background

Yup.

Different apps of course have different properties, but if you are using the built in RealPlayer, you can do anything else and have your MP3s playing either through your stereo headphones, your BT headset, or the built in speaker.

DioPlayer also allows background playback, and it is also free. (As I would expect do all MP3 players for the Treo 650, but these are the only 2 I have used)

I'm doing it right now. I'm listening mp.3's thru real player mobile on the the treo 650 and logging in to the web and checking email. u totally can dude.

How many times does the phone actually reset? like is it to the point that it's intolerable that it pisses you off and you wanna get a new phone.... or is acceptable..... or are these just sensative complaints that a product gets when they expect so highly of it

Well there's a we'll known bug involving the versamail installee on the dwvice rom. It's known to cause device resets and crashes despite the corrective information given at palmone in the support library to deal with this crash and reset issue. Answer to your question..... Since I stopped using versamail(version 3). My treo 650 doesn't reset anymore but it does freeze on occasion if I'm doing too many things at once. But I'm using it now and over loading the processor with too many applications at once and it's been fine.
