Bitpim is not detecting my phone. But it's showing under Device Manager | Modems as "Curitel Packet Service, Curitel Pckt Service Diagnostic Serial Port (WDM) COM5 under Ports, and Curitel USB Composite Device under USB. In Bitpim my setting for com port is COM4 and Phone is LGVX4400 as instructed at http://vox8910.ca.tt web site. What am I doing wrong?

I can use the phone as modem and logon to verizon internet service just fine. It's just bitpim that's not finding my phone.

Read the tutorials on this forum man.....theres a ton of these EXACT same questions

Voxster8910,

Did you do ##7678 <end> to put it into USB Diag mode? If you didn't Bitpim won't recognize your phone. Also, I use the setting for the Lgvx6000.

please help me. i have all my software downloaded including bitpim, but i'm afraid i am having the same problems as others. i tried to let bitpim access my phone to get info and it says busy but is making no progress. i am not very computer savy so i will need some pretty detailed help. all i want is ringtones and wallpaper. thanks to whoever can help!
