That is correct.

But, also once a +2GB card is available it won't do you any good as the Treo 650 will only support up to 2GB (use could use a 4GB card but the Treo will see it as a 2GB card, and so you will only have 2GB usable on it).

so then a 2 gig card is the largest to fit in a 650 or is there larger off brands.. im looking at getting a 650 and my buddie has a 600 so im just looking for the both of us i guess.. would all the same rules apply to my buddies tmobile 600 as well or is it even smaller for a 600.. he was blabering out the mouth talking about a 5 gig card for his 600.. i never heard of one so here i am..

thanks guyz for all your input..

Hello Cingular Dream,

This is Kevin from palmOne. Someone may correct me, but I'm not aware of any SD card larger than 2 GB that's yet available. You can read more details on maximum cards supported by palmOne handhelds in the palmOne Knowledge Library article "Maximum SD expansion card size and transfer speed for palmOne handhelds" here.

One thing about off-brands: Be certain the card is compliant with SD specifications as defined by the SD Card Association. There are some posers out there.

Sincerely
Kevin
