OK I got my data cable....I tried the drivers that came with it....I tried the windows default drivers....I tried drivers from Kyocera....yet it will install the cable but always comes up with the error message that the device cannot be started......I"m using it on a SE47 slider....but I can't get the cable to activate and bitpim doesn't see it either....any ideas>???

I had the same problem with a differant cable...it was Datapilot software and their cable.....

After doing 10 updates from their website it worked...

also the cable I had was USB....the cd that came with it did not have usb drivers ...I had to download the usb driers from them also...

then XP detected it and it worked...

so in a nutshell.....check your software and data cable providers website
not kyocera....hopefully there will be a marking or something to identify the cable
